We all have talents and gifts. What is yours? Your kids…sports…the arts…service work? If it feels like passion or purpose is lacking, let’s talk about it. A sense of purpose is an essential to a fulfilling life and an important area of exploration in therapy; especially for who may be struggling with addiction, depression or anxiety. 

What makes your Heart sing?

Addicts don’t just stop using. Part of the process involves trading in unhealthy, addictive patterns for new, healthy “obsessions”. There can be many underlying reasons for depression, but one protective factor is having things to look forward to. Whether a person is currently struggling with a mental health issue or not, having something we are passionate about and actively involved in is an essential part of a happy life.

I was lucky enough to find my passion in college. I took a pottery class and it was love at first sight. I’ve been working with clay for over 30 years now. There is nothing I love more than working at the potter’s wheel. It gives my life color!

EMDR

At Forward Momentum Counseling, Ezra integrated EMDR with other therapeutic approaches to create a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to each client’s unique needs.

CBT

While counseling often emphasizes scientific methods, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) primarily helps clients develop more rational thinking. It is the most widely used therapeutic approach.

The goal of trauma counseling is to help individuals move past the trauma, regain a sense of control, and improve their overall mental health and well-being.

Anxiety treatment is designed to help individuals manage and reduce the symptoms of anxiety disorders, such as generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and social anxiety disorder. 

Addiction Treatment
