MEET EZRA
(Licensed Professional Counselor LPC)
As a therapist, I bring a unique perspective, shaped in large part by my own journey of growth and healing.
There are, I believe two opposing truths in therapy; one, that there are certain universal truths that apply to every human being, such as the need for love and connection, and two, that every human being has a unique way of being in this world and a unique story.
Holding space for both perspectives is vital for effective therapy to occur. My personal journey, combined with years of professional experience and training allow me to connect deeply with clients while honoring their unique paths.
My role in therapy is to listen and ask thoughtful questions that encourage reflection. I encourage meaningful dialogue and offer supportive challenges. I always strive to be straight forward and authentic with my clients as I support them on their journeys.
Supportive Counseling
We all have talents and gifts. What is yours? Your kids…sports…the arts…service work? If it feels like passion or purpose is lacking, let’s talk about it. A sense of purpose is an essential to a fulfilling life and an important area of exploration in therapy; especially for who may be struggling with addiction, depression or anxiety.
Addicts don’t just stop using. Part of the process involves trading in unhealthy, addictive patterns for new, healthy “obsessions”. There can be many underlying reasons for depression, but one protective factor is having things to look forward to. Whether a person is currently struggling with a mental health issue or not, having something we are passionate about and actively involved in is an essential part of a happy life.
I was lucky enough to find my passion in college. I took a pottery class and it was love at first sight. I’ve been working with clay for over 30 years now. There is nothing I love more than working at the potter’s wheel. It gives my life color!
At Forward Momentum Counseling, Ezra recognizes there are certain universal truths that resonate deeply with every human being, transcending cultural and individual differences. At the same time, Ezra recognizes each person is unique.
At Forward Momentum Counseling, Ezra integrated EMDR with other therapeutic approaches to create a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to each client’s unique needs.
